Scarecrow Creation Workshop @ Ochsner Park

Where:
Ochsner Park, 903 Park St.

For those who chose to not build a scarecrow at home you can create your own family scarecrow during this workshop. The library will provide enough supplies for one scarecrow per family.  Participants supply the design elements and creativity. Space is limited, so pre-registration is REQUIRED.

You can pick up a registration form in person at the Youth Services desk  starting Monday, August 23. You do need to register in person, so you can receive your “scarecrow number” that will be displayed on your scarecrow creation.

Create and display a scarecrow in your yard and be part of our community-wide Scarecrow Parade!  Display your scarecrow in your yard or at Ochsner Zoo, September 19 - October 10.

Registered scarecrows will be judged by library staff on Wednesday, September 29.  Prizes will be awarded in five categories: Silliest, Most Creative, Best Book Character, People’s Choice, and Best Business. The prize is a $25 Chamber Bucks gift card that can be used at over 130 different Baraboo businesses. This program is co-sponsored by the Baraboo Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department.
